I am having problems logging into a kde session. The screen goes
black and then returns in a few moments to the login screen. In the
messages log file I see
Sep 13 22:50:50 barrabas kdm[2524]: pam_unix2: session started for
user
lancelot, service xdm
Sep 13 22:50:50 barrabas resmgr[1418]: accepted connection from user
root
Sep 13 22:50:50 barrabas resmgr[1418]: disconnect from root
Sep 13 22:50:50 barrabas kdm[2524]: pam_unix2: session finished for
user
lancelot, service xdm
(this taken from a post by another with similar problem....)
I see several references to the problem but no answers yet...
I think resmgr is a program that starts stuff back up that was open
at logout before. I think I had a window or two that were logged in
as root when I logged out and I think the program is trying to start
it up again without a way to supply the password again.
