[KLUG Members] Platform

This mostly is a list of things I've thought of over the last few
months. Thus, it really isn't so much a platform as a TODO list.

- Work with the Publicity Director to increase attendance by better
advertising. E.g., posting flyers in local computer stores and
  colleges.

- Look into intrastate LUG activities and events. I would also propose
that a moderated, low-volume, inter-LUG announcement list be created,
or perhaps an RSS-type web page that would list many LUGs' activities.
(I would be interested in programming this.) This is related to:

- Spot some events we could attend: Bob and Adam have posted a number of
interesting business meetings, but either they posted late, or I
didn't check my mail soon enough to schedule around it. Also, the info
can be sketchy: does it cost anything to attend, what kind of dress
(I'm likely to show up in jeans unless I plan ahead to iron a dress
shirt -- comfy, but hardly professional. :-)

- Pay any bribe, commit any crime, dragoon any volunteer to keep Adam as
our Program Director. Adam's performance as PD is sui generis.

- Outreach: we have tons of knowledge: I think we could find grade 7+
schools that would like a hands-on demo of what REALLY goes on when
you run a program, or what email REALLY looks like. I'm not talking a
2-week course: I just mean "This is RFC 2822, this is MIME/MAIL
FROM/RCPT TO, blah, blah." (This idea is sketchy.)

- And of course, to rule with an iron fist, to slay my enemy and hear
  the lamentation of his women.

Oh, ummm, that last is my, uh, California 2007 gubernatorial plank.
Ignore that. ;-)
