   Than you already have file sharing for Windows!

  I have not used apache to any extent to be able to talk about securing it so
I'll leave that the the masters. I'm running a read only ftp/http server
anyhow.

   Sure. You use the sshd daemon on the server and there are several ssh
clients available for Windows. I (and many others) use the free ssh client
named "Putty". Works great!
