[KLUG Members] DNS--HELP!!!

First of all. . .I apologize for the html in my request for DNS help: The
only way I could send an email was via my hotmail account, and I don't think
hotmail supports text only. Thanks to those of you who muddled through it.
Second, thanks to Peter Buxton for putting us on the right track to fix the
problem. It appears, for some reason, my /etc directory had both a
resolve.conf and a resolv.conf file in it. I was editing the resolve.conf
file, but the resolv.conf file had a bad DNS server address in it--which
apparently was working until that server went down, yesterday afternoon(?).
Copying resolve.conf to resolv.conf appears to have fixed it, therefore no
html in this message!
