You can list more than one DNS server in resolv.conf. This is ALWAYS a
good idea, as it will bounce to the "next" one if a server does not
respond.
Also I'd really suggest installing the caching nameserver package so you
can accumulate a name database on your end, making (at least in our case)
the majority of your searches resolv locally, reducing your dependence on
the constant availability of a remote server over which you have no
authority.
