This is the #1 reason why my PDA (phone actually) runs Palm. Palm means
compatible means I can do all sorts of things with _any_ OS, as well as the
wealth of "ready-to-run" 3rd party apps. It's just hard to beat the inertia of
what Palm has, just ask Microsoft who is expending a crapload of money to see
otherwise.

It should be noted that Palm turned a profit again.

FYI, for those that care, this is my 100% Linux compatible, Linux dialable
phone/PDA (PalmOS 3.5, 8MB, serial):

I'm planning on getting this one as soon as Verizon carries it (Color PalmOS,
16MB, CF slot, USB w/serial option):

Evolution rules with it. One address book (including for the phone), one
calendar, one to do list, one everything.
