I have a NEC 1100ND dvd burner that I want to use as a backup media. I
have tried many ways to create a dvd but I seem not to be able to get a
dvd written.
xcdroast gives up after a few seconds, I already downloaded and
installed the latest version including the latest version of cdrecord,
cdda, mkisofs.
Xcdroast still gives up after a few seconds, sometimes after writing a
small fragment to the dvd (and making it wortless)
Is there a sure way to create a dvd without spoilling more dvd's ? The
drive should be an atapi drive, which means so much as no driver needed,
as I am told.
So when no diver needed can I just dd a image and make a dvd that way??
I am using SuSE 8.1.
tia,
Bert.
