I am assuming that you are talking about browsing from the Linux box.
You can load LinNeighborhood to be able to browse. It works pretty
well. There was something I had to do to allow a non-root user to
mount a drive though and I cannot remember what I did (I can find out
though since I know who I asked). It does not seem to allow you to
connect to printers though.

The Lycoris distro has a really nice network browsing utility that
looks just like "My Network Places" on Winblows 2000. I am not sure
what it is or if it is available outside of Lycoris or not. I need
to reload Lycoris and look at it.

I plan on looking closely at Lycoris anyway because I would like to
make some minor modifications to it and come up with the Rusty
distro. Lycoris is like awesome for the newbee and just needs a
couple of tweeks (upgrade KDE to 3.1, Mozilla to 1.4, and use
OpenOffice instead of KOffice as the default suite). It has one of
the nicest installs (based on Lizard) and looks and feels very
comfortable for first time converts from Winblows.
