[KLUG Members] BSware 9 & xmms

At the last KLUG meeting, Bruce gave me a copy of BSware 9 #8.0.  I've 
had some difficulty with printers which I hope to iron out but I got 
stuck on trying to find a neat facility for playing mp3 files like the 
xmms I was used to.  xmms did not work itself since the version supplied 
by RedHat had the ability to play mp3s blocked to avoid possible legal 
hassles.  After trying to get 4-5 alternative mp3 players from freshmeat 
working - they all failed at various stages - I tried xmms itself and at 
the home site found that a simple xmms-mpg123 rpm had been set up to 
bypass the problem. Indeed simply installing the rpm made xmms worked as 
expected.  Thought this might be of some interest...
