[KLUG Members] Canon i850 -great printer but LINUX driver?

Hoping to finally get a photo-quality printer, I bought a Canon i850 
with the smallest droplet size in a modest printer yet but guess what...
I'm going to have to put it on my wife's ME(ugh) computer.

Anyone out there find a driver for the i850?  I've wasted several hours 
trying to get some of the more sophisticated printer drivers up hoping 
for one to have the i850 driver but no joy so far.
