There are currently several - Lotus Notes, OpenExchange, Bynari, and
Oracle Collaboration Suite.

All are commercial.

equivalent to any of the above for a very long time; possibly never. 
For really stupid political reasons.  If someone wanted to do a study on
the type of projects where Open Source actually won't work, this would
be a good place to start.

Anywho....

KLUG has contacted all of the above groupware product teams.  We will
certainly be hosting a meeting on Lotus Notes and SuSeOpen Exchange by
people who actually support those products on our favorite platform.  No
time frame yet,  but it will happen.

Neither Oracle or Bynari have responded to requests for an appearance.

Bynari was however examined (on a technical level) in a recent Linux
Journal.
