I think those are EPROM's (only one "E").

My understanding is that EEPROM's are _Electronically_ Erasable Read
Only Memory, which are erased by some kind of electric current, not an
ultraviolet light (I never used EEPROM's myself, but I have erased and
programmed EPROM's).

Yes, I sold my EPROM (one "E" :) burner and UV eraser many years ago.
In fact it was long ago that it connected to my Atari 800.  :-)
