The new kernel [2.4.22] has b44 drivers [broadcom ... 44?]. They suposedly
work for the nic in my laptop, but I am still using the pcmcia nic I
bought before. The driver loads up and gives me an ethX [0 or 1, I can't
remember]. Our Dell servers came with the Intel nics, but Dells' web site
had drivers for the b44 and what ever broadcoms' 1000 baseT card is.
