wehe writes "Linuxant has released a Linux driver for the Intel(TM)
PRO/Wireless 2100 chipset. So finally all three parts of the Centrino
technology are supported. The driver also supports WLAN chipsets made by
Atheros, Broadcom, Intersil and Realtek. TuxMobil has tested it on an
ASUS M2400N laptop and it worked out-of-the-box. Though unfortunately
the driver is not Open Source. Intel has also announced a driver, but
whether this will be released as Open Source or not is still unclear.
Nevertheless Centrino(TM) laptops are already very popular in the Linux
community. For almost all Centrino based laptops there are installation
reports available."
