Yeah had a problem similar to that. I just went to freshmeat and did a
search on linux dvd players. And you get a list of a few. Two that I
like are Ogle and Mplayer. Ogle if I remember was pretty easy to get
going while Mplayer required a little more work, but I had them both
going in one evening. Ogle just plays dvd's but is real nice. Mplayer
plays dvd's along with mpg, wmv, rm, and I think a couple of others. So
I have both installed and use the approriate one.
