[KLUG Members] HDCD conversion to mp3

Hi folks,

For Christmas I got a copy of Garcia & Grisman's "Shady Grove" (great 
bluegrass stuff...).  I was eager to get it into my mp3 player, so as 
always I went to to my linux box rip it into mp3, as is my clear 
fair-use right (right?).  But neither grip nor cdparanoia recognize it 
as an audio CD at all.

Does anyone know what's up?  How can I rip this to mp3?  If not (easily) 
possible, then I might suspect HDCD is really a shoddy coverup for 
denying fair use...
