Well, I am afraid I live in Benton Harbor [area], have no car and am on a
tight schedule. But if you wanted to irc/aim I could help you out with
blender [ blender.org blender3d.org ]. The install went really easy for
me [I am trying to remember if it runs from the un-tared directory, or if
there is an install script], it comes in a pre-compiled form.

In my opinion, blender is the most professional feeling modeler for
Linux [not surprising, as it was originally a "professional" program].

I don't know if I will be able to check my email before Monday, but if
your interested, I am willing to help.
