True. I certainly don't miss modelines.

Same is true on RedHat -
[awilliam@estate2 awilliam]$ rpm -qp /etc/resolv.conf
[awilliam@estate2 awilliam]$
I think that since resolv.conf can be dynamically created/destroyed by
so many things (dhpcd, pump, pppd, pppoe, netcfg, etc...) is maybe why
this is true.
