OK I am now giving you exact steps and details that I did on my computer.

(a) I booted using Morphix Game CD on computer having already installed
Fedora Core 2

(b) After playing for a while I desired to play some songs so I typed xmms
on root console and to my dismay, there was not any multimedia player
available on Morhpix Game CD.

(c) So I mounted /dev/hda7 my Fedora Core 2 partition on /mnt/hda7 and
chrooted to /mnt/hda7.

(d) Then I ran xmms from the root console in chrooted environment and after
while I got error that critical error unable to open display.

(e) Then I gave up. Few days latter, I accidentally fired up another X
window on display 1 using startx --:1.

(f) I again chrooted to /mnt/hda7 on display 0 and set display variable to
:0.1 and typed xmms and voila it worked.

(g) Now my pain is how to run it on display 0.

I hope I gave enough detail to play with.
