Talk about insufficient data, you didn't even tell us what kind of
VPN
you're trying to setup! (or what kind of firewall, or any details
...)
Opps sorry... I have tried both a PPTP and an L2TP solution. I am
going from a Windows client (XP) to a Windows server (SBS2003). I
have run all the wizards but it will not negotiate the password. I
am not even sure if it is hitting the server because I am not getting
anything logged. We have a switched environment with unmanaged
switches so I do not have much ability to sniff the line. I am going
to put Microsoft monitoring software on tomorrow so I can look at the
server at least.
I have a Netopia firewall on the DSL line and a linksys firewall here
at home. I have turned on IPSec and PPTP passthrough on both
firewalls.
