I don't think so: I checked it over and tried it quite a few times.  It
starts loading but stops at an APM (auto power management?) command.

The documentation didn't say I needed the stage 1_5 files. . . just if I
needed chain-loading.  I think the filesystem is being read.  I get a return
after each commmand.

I realize that.  It's on my machine at home--I'm using (what's left of) my
memory.  But thanks for your ideas.
