Is plug and play aware os enabled in the bios? if so
turn it off. Is it an add-on soundcard or an o/b? If
it's an onboard what irq does the bios have it using?
You usually get your irq pool on boot-up. If it's an
add-on, and you have an agp card or pci video card
residing on pci 1 slot, move your audio card to an
even numbered slot (i.e. pci 2,4) so they don't fight
for the same IRQ.
