[KLUG Members] Sound Issues with Fedora Core

Tim,

Is this sound card PCI or ISA?  The error logs mention ISAPnP...

Generally there shouldn't be an issue, but if this is an older PCI or ISA sound card, here's
something to try:

First, use pnpdump to get the settings for your card, put that info in /etc/isapnp.conf

Second, edit /etc/isapnp.conf to enable the setting for your sound card that doesn't conflict with
anything.

Third, make sure isapnp is running at startup - typically somewhere in /etc/rc.d - I typically
find stuff like this in rc.local


Is this onboard sound?  Sometimes you have to disable the option for ISA-PNP detection
(snd-isapnp=0)
