I've known two other TDS customers in Grand Rapids who experience the
same line error issues; TDS blamed the loop. It seems odd that the
loop (in roughly the same neighborhood) is good for 1.5Mbps clean for me
(an SBC customer) and chunky for a 256Kbs TDS customer. So choose
between an SBC conspiracy theory or whatever DSLAM equipment TDS is
using. I looked at TDS but at the time they offered no static IP
options that weren't EXORBIDANTLY price (over a year ago now).
