[KLUG Members] Help! Konqueror driving me nuts

Hello all,

I've read through the Konqueror manual and FAQs and I can't find a
solution to my problem. This is the same kind of problem that got me
feed up with MS Windows and IE.

I've noticed that when I go to Sourceforge and go to download a file.tgz
for something, the download will start automatically. This is fine, but
it seems Konqueror now auto  downloads the file and shows me the
contents. Not only does it not ask me if I want to download it, or ask
me where I want to save it, I can't even find an icon or menu selection
to save the archive. It only seems to let me extract the contents.

Konqueror has picked up the same nasty habit of bundling a file explorer
with a web browser and it is driving me nuts. 

Please, is there a way to turn this off??
