I am thinking of changing distros and I would like to find a nonprofit,
user group oriented linux distro. I don't really do any development but I
like to be part of an open source project. Red Hat (or whatever kind of
hat they are now) and SuSe are out.

What is the best user group developed, open source oriented distro today?
It has to be big enough to be relatively user friendly installation and
use. Good documentation for the slow learners is important.

Debian?

Mandrake?
