Some more lines of interest in an individual user's log:

[2004/11/17 11:26:05, 0] smbd/password.c:authorise_login(863)
  authorise_login: rejected invalid user pcguest
[2004/11/17 11:26:22, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(531)
  tdb(/var/cache/samba/locking.tdb): expand_file write of 1024 failed
(No space left on device)

smb.conf has the line "guest = pcguest", and pcguest is a real user in
/etc/passwd so I don't know why it is an invalid user account.

What is the locking.tdb?

What device is it that has no more space?
