What language are you going to work in, C++?

Personally I prefer Visual SlickEdit which works nicely across platforms and
languages. It picks up the GCC environment well building tagging files, etc...
so the editor and compiler play nice together.

GTK+ is getting some good use considering Gnome, Gimp, and other projects
relying on it.
