The standard UNIX tools don't know about ACLs, they just show you the
standard permissions bits (which you can continue to use).

To access the ACLs you use setfacl and getfacl or the chacl command.

Or you can view/set them from a Windows 2000/XP box via Samba! :)  This
is still on my "Ten reasons Linux sucks" list;  all that blather about
Linux, Open Source, and security.... blah blah woof woof.... the stupid
tools barely support a concept like ACLs.
