Inkscape requires a newer version of GTK than you have (the RPM should
not have installed,  it is obviously setup incorrectly).  [ This is one
of the beauties of a platform like .NET,  all this version madness goes
away;  but I digress... ]

Inkscape seems to be tracking very current versions of the GNOME core
libraries - probably helps them greatly in the really cools stuff they
are doing with fonts and on the canvas.
