Thanks Adam, it was Outlook that was specifically name although I'm looking into not really needing it for that because 
Adam said I could connect to an Exchange using just SuSE. I also have a boatload of vendor supplied software that does 
what it does (mostly reference) that uses Windows. I went ahead and ordered VM because as Adam pointed out there are people
that spend almost as much on cable (read couch potato). I'm glad I have satellite. My luck is everything I have will
run w/o VM except that one critical app that I need at 1 am right now.
