Ah, that's an easy enough way to do it.  I'll try that.  (With a
boot CD since this machine's floppy drive is flaky... yes, my home
hardware is a smorgasbord of cheap breakage).

Seems like there should be easy lilo options to operate on a
secondary drive, though.
