hmmmm, is this an older Domnino MTA?

And I don't see any character set defined in the message headers at all
(maybe the mail list software stripped that).

But 8859-1 is the correct charset; and the one I see used by my
Evolution, Thunderbird, and <gack>Eudora</gack> users.

A fubared MTA or possibly someones sad attempt at a anti-spam solution.
<Rant> Ok world, listen up. Content filtering does NOT work! Please
stop trying - fix the solution in the protocol where the fix belongs.
Content filtering is as likely to work as
votes-in-highschool-as-to-who-will-be-most-successful - the ignorant
voicing a biased and uninformed perspective. Maybe someday when the
computer can read and understand the contents of a message.... </Rant>
