I did an FTP install of an earlier version, 9.2, I think.  I was playing 
around with the installation, so I knew I was going to be rebuilding it 
fairly often.  I used mget to mirror the whole tree.  You should be able 
to point the installer at an Internet mirror and install from FTP that 
way, but I've had a lot more trouble getting that to work  Of course, it 
won't work at all until SuSE gets around to putting the 9.3 source tree 
on the mirrors in the first place!

My current method of installing is to share the DVD over nfs, and boot 
the installation from the boot installation CD.  Very useful the machine 
you're installing to doesn't have a DVD drive.
