[KLUG Members] Not detecting second CPU on old Compaq Proliant 1600

I have an old Compaq proliant I have installed debian testing on. I have 
installed the 2.6 smp kernel image and it will not detect my second CPU. 
On boot both are detected and initialized. I tried running hwinfo and 
found an error message that a dual cpu mobo was not detected. Is there 
any way for me to figureout what's up? I know it's not much of a 
machine, but I would like to put it to use and 2 P2-400s will be better 
than one.
