Does "cat /proc/cpuinfo" show 1 or 2 CPU's? Anything interesting?
Is there any SMP settings in your BIOS? Sometimes you can set
the SMP version and/or turn off the 2nd CPU in the BIOS.
Otherwise, try flashing your BIOS to the latest version.
I've had to do that before on some older SMP boxes.
