Yep, there doesn't seem to be a home page.  star is like tar, it should
be included in any recent distribution and the documentation is the man
page.

I've read it is very nice;  but for a large network it is also crazy
expensive.

Yep;  and we've looked at a couple of more reasonably priced backup
packages (MicroEdge makes a 'decent' one).  But other than a pretty
interface it actually offers less than star + ssh in exustar mode -
their product doesn't backup EA.
