Most of my client use NetWare and have some Windows and Linux servers. I
use Veritas BackupExec with remote agents.

If you have a NW box doing the backup the agent for Linux is free and
comes with it. You have purchase remote agents for Windows.
If you use Windows to do the backup you have to purchase the Linux agent
seperately. You have to purchase remote agents for NW.

I've done MANY disaster rebuilds and recoveries where this strategy was
in place and it was quite smooth.

I'm now looking for ways to back up large amounts of data nightly
though. I'm talking over 4tb. Some of my clients have that much and want
a full backup nightly. I'm currently talking with Dell, HP, and Veritas
to try to find a solution.
