An update.

In Sept. 2002 I gave a talk on online rights that ended up being
mostly about how Intel can end computing as we know it by locking
everyone but Microsoft out of the CPU.  Rollout has been delayed
(in my talk I said it was one year away).  But on Friday -- the
Friday before a holiday weekend -- Intel announced a CPU that has
DRM built in, and a motherboard chipset to help enforce it.
