LOL, you have that too hua!? That is on my todo as my thought is that
Samba/CUPS should eat that job up and tell Windows the job is done / taken care
of.

I think it is application specific. I have some apps which somehow hook
Samba/CUPS bad enough that they will not go on with operation until the last
page of the job is out of the printer AND the printer has "spun down" in the
case of my LJ4000. Since this was with a program I am beta testing a new
version of, I reported it to the vendor and the next build magically does not
hook Samba/CUPS that hard... based on the vendor I was TRULY amazed to see a
difference one beta build later.

Anyway, 'tis my 2c on this topic. Don't completely understand it either, have
it on my topic to research list.
