[KLUG Members] CMS again / podcast?

Has anyone used Wordpress? It seems to be popular with podcasters and
bloggers alike. It supports static pages, themes, comments, user
registration, password protected posts, importing from other blogs, an
XML-RPC interface, workflow roles, and quite a few other features.

What would the KLUG website look like if it were replaced by a CMS like
Wordpress, Drupal, or something else? Anyone could view it, but you'd
have to be authenticated to add any content like comments. With roles,
administration of various areas of the site could be delegated to
volunteers. It certainly couldn't replace a vibrant mailing list like
this, but getting info from the site via an RSS aggregator would be
cool.

That got me thinking about this: if the speaker each week could be
recorded (audio), KLUG meetings could be available as podcasts. Maybe
not every week, but maybe. I have a hard time getting to many meetings
because of a Tuesday conflict, but I would be willing to edit and
post-produce the audio into a podcast. And since the post would be to a
CMS capable of producing an RSS feed, a service like Feedburner could be
used to get the KLUG podcast into a format that is friendly to
aggregators like iTunes, iPodderx, etc. Then KLUG list subscribers
around the world could hear it.

Just some thoughts...
