[KLUG Members] live chat software

A client wants to add live chat software to their website.  Their idea
is to have something like a help desk.

It would only be for clients, and would set up a session between the
client and someone inside their network.

I haven't played with chat much, except to cancel it when windows popped
up I didn't want!

Any pointers on where to look to set something like this up?
