It is true that "the people who left" klug to form the Michigan Open
Source Group, MOSG.ORG, will most likely have a majority of their
presentations geared toward the professional IT person. This is
partially due to the decades of Linux and Open Source experience in
the workplace held by it's founding members, and the fact that many of
the MOSG founding members are employed in IT related fields.

Please don't get the wrong idea from this. MOSG isn't going to be
checking people's degrees/certifications/resumes at the door and
turning away people without previous Open Source experience.

In fact we welcome everyone at our meetings at on our mailing lists.
We will do our best to answer new user questions and assist them
whenever we can. We also welcome people who are interested in running
Open Source Software on "other" (non-Linux) operating systems.
