[KLUG Members] Number Lock turns on at Gnome login

Hello Again,
I must not have donated enough..... When logging in a Gnome session;
whether logging out from another user or rebooting; the number lock
engages. This wouldn't be a bad thing except that on my Thinkpad T30 I
can't turn it back off w/o having a keyboard to plug into it and of
course this eliminates portability or being able to type somewhat
legibly. I've combed the Gnome pages, my reference books, searched
online but no luck. I've checked in every possible nook of the Gnome
control panel but still nothing. I've tried saving the current setup
while logging out, nothing. Did I forget the secret handshake?
Peter
