And they go on to say that you outghtta check with Linksys to see if they have
an update for their firmware. I may check this VoIP router to see if their
firmware has dynamic DNS capability.

Yeah, I'm thinking of writing a little cronjob that runs curl or wget to
some URL that reportes the public IP address, and then mailing that out to the 
guy's yahoo mail (or whatever) address. That way, he can find out his IP
in case the whle ddyns thing falls apart.

I can see how that would work, or course, BUT, I want to know from someone who 
has used these services (with something like the configuration documents) if 
it actually DOES work, or if I gotta bag it and plug things in differently.
