I know, but one can ALWAYS get to an ext2/3 filesystem from even the
crappiest rescue disk. It provides a nice jumping off point for more
major restoration, especially when you need some odd tools (like the
mentioned ipssend - the command line utility to manage IBM ServerRAID
controllers).
