That's actually more what I was thinking, except their directory looks like
it might meet our needs here too. In addition to staff, I (potentially) have
an army of people that may benefit from access to network resources (>200).
For example, giving an email account and access to a private website for all
the volunteers in the childcare areas. They won't be logging in everyday
onsite, but rather more web based from the outside. The directory
administration on this looks pretty straightforward, which is appealing.

I definitely want to put squid and other services like it on a separate
server.

We currently have a W2K server that I am not convinced is setup optimally.
It's old and will be transitioned out by fall (hopefully sooner). I was
leaning towards doing this with SuSE, but the Apple offering looked pretty
good.
