The class is intended for those who want to get a Linux Certification.
They spend about half of the class showing you how to install Linux from
scratch.

A friend took the class two years ago.  He's a hardware/IT guy who
wanted to try Linux. He said he learned things but it really wasn't what
he intended.  For him, the biggest "waste" was the amount of time spent
on installing a roll-your-own Linux installation given that, even then,
most Linuxes  (Lini?) came in distributions that could just run from the
CD.

Jason -- Visit us on a 2nd Tuesday of any month.  Those meetings are set
aside for New to Linux type of topics.
