VMWare is great with the exception of things that are very CPU intensive and things that require a lot of multimedia resources.  Do not think that you will be able to run Adobe Premiere in VMWare with any positive results.

Yes. VMWare will allow you to run Windows and any application that runs on Windows just fine.
