The most-recent Kanotix release candidate
(2006-01-RC4) now has the XGL and Compiz stuff built
in:

Kanotix is a live CD based on Knoppix, but it is
better-suited for hard drive installation than Knoppix
is.  Knoppix and Kanotix swap stuff back-and-forth all
the time.  I use both, but much prefer Kanotix for
system installations.  It's been my main Linux distro
for over 2 years.
